RED CROSS FIRST AID & CPR

Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. Participants learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on adult victims of cardiac arrest. American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED Certification is valid for two years.
First Aid, participants learn first aid skills for treating a variety of injuries, such as burns, wounds, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies. Participants also learn to manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites and poisoning. American Red Cross First Aid Certification is valid for three years. Cost : $85.00

Jujitsu is the “gentle art” of self-defense. Through the practice of martial arts, children and adults learn the virtues of self-discipline, balance, focus, and self-confidence. This is a fun, learning environment. Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:15pm – 5:15pm (children and youth), 5:15pm– 6:15pm (adults and youth). Are you ready for a fun full body workout? Each class will focus on cardio endurance, strength, balance, flexibility, and nutrition in a fun group exercise environment designed to help you reach the level of fitness you aspire to attain. Your instructors will use a variety of modalities, including but not limited to; cardio/bodysculpting to music, interval training, circuit-style strength training with a focus on functional movement and some outdoor activities. With over 15 years combined experience in group fitness instruction and personal training, your instructors will assure you a fun, easy-to-follow program that all fitness levels can enjoy. Come join the Qwacky Quilter for some sewing fun. Maybe you’d like to learn a new hobby and are not sure if quilting is for you – come give it a try! Maybe you want to refresh your skills, or, make some new quilting buddies! We will be making various quilt-related projects, learning some good basic quilting skills and having a lot of fun in the process. We meet every Tue from 9am-1:30pm at the Rotunda.
