LETTERS TO THE EDITOR AND SAN VICENTE VALLEY NEWS


The San Vicente Valley News accepts letters to the editor and business advertising. Letters to the Editor must be received by the 1st of the month preceding publication. Business advertising is due by the 15th of the month preceding publication unless other arrangements have been made. Note that staff articles and VN correspondents’ articles may have different publication deadlines and/or requirements. Letters to the editor may not exceed 300 words and should be emailed or typewritten. San Diego Country Estates Association, which publishes the San Vicente Valley News, reserves the right to edit letters and to refuse letters and advertising deemed libelous, obscene or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate. Pursuant to Civil Code §5105, letters to the editor concerning matters covered by the statute will not be edited or redacted. However, it is the policy of the San Vicente Valley News to refuse letters to the editor or advertisements related to Association elections. For all letters to the Valley News, the name, address and phone number or email of the writer must be included, but only the name will be published. Letters to the editor and other submitted commentaries and articles do not necessarily represent the opinions of the Valley News staff, the SDCEA Board of Directors or the administrative staff of the San Diego Country Estates Association. Email letters to valley.news@sdcea.net, or mail to San Vicente Valley News, 24157 San Vicente Road, Ramona, CA 92065. All articles will be edited using the house style, to improve presentation without altering the meaning of the text. An edited copy will not be submitted to authors for final approval. All accepted articles, artwork and photographs become the exclusive property of the publisher and may be used in any manner in Valley News’ sole and absolute discretion.
