Ashlie Alshouse: May's Employee of the Month

Tiffany Pressler • May 14, 2025

As spring brings fresh energy and growth, we're proud to recognize someone who brings the same qualities to our team every day. Our May Employee of the Month, Ashlie Alshouse, stands out for her dedication, positivity, and exceptional contributions that strengthen our workplace and contribute to its success.

Ashlie Alshouse was hired on August 18, 2021, and is head recreation leader in the Recreation Department. She works with the children in the program and helps the program coordinator plan activities and crafts. She is also one of their drivers who help pick up the children from school for the after-school program.

Alshouse was chosen for this honor because she is always willing to go above and beyond her job description. She took the lead on organizing and cleaning up the recreation center. She has been a massive help in getting the center up to date with storage, making life easier for her lead Recreation Manager, Amy Holsapple-Lueck. She organized all the community event supplies, craft closet, kitchen, shed, and trailer, and put new furniture together to make the center more modern. The recreation department was able to accomplish so much this past year thanks to Alshouse's efforts, making it a better place to be.

Alshouse has excelled as a counselor at the recreation center and gives her all in everything she does. She loves children and helps them with crafts, sports, and homework. She is a great role model for all the children here at the recreation center.

On her off-work time, she likes to read, go to concerts, collect mugs, work out, hang out with friends, and spend time with her one-year-old nephew.

She loves to see kids grow and help them develop as humans. The recreation center is like a second family to her, and the office staff is so supportive.

This month's recognition is especially meaningful, as May is a time to honor care, dedication, and fresh starts. Alshouse's nurturing spirit in the workplace lifts everyone around her.

We are grateful to have Ashlie Alshouse as part of our team and are proud to celebrate all she does to contribute. Congratulations, and thank you for making May even more memorable.
