The holiday season is truly special in the Estates, with dazzling San Vicente Resort decorations and fun-filled events like the Holiday Balloon Sale at the Golf Shop and the SDCEA Holiday Fair held at Ramona Oaks Park.

San Vicente Resort: Decked Out for the Holidays

The San Vicente Resort is a magical holiday wonderland! Led by volunteers Toni Munsterman and assistants Jodie Taylor and Steve Chambers, our decorating team has created a festive atmosphere filled with music and charm. Three stunning Christmas trees grace the San Vicente Room, Par Lounge, and the lobby—the latter featuring a breathtaking, floor-to-ceiling masterpiece. Wreaths adorn all rooms, and every table at The Oaks Grille boasts a fresh poinsettia centerpiece. To celebrate Hanukkah, a silver and blue menorah is displayed in the hallway, with candles lit nightly starting December 25. Don’t forget to drop off postcards and letters to Santa in the special lobby mailbox for some magical holiday cheer!

Holiday Balloon Sale: Pop a Balloon for Surprise Discounts

Last Friday, the Golf Shop was alive with excitement as red and green balloons revealed surprise discounts of 20%, 30%, 50%, and even 100% off! Golfers enjoyed high-quality merchandise while mingling over complimentary beer, wine, and light appetizers. It’s shopping made fun and festive!

SDCEA Holiday Fair: A Day of Shopping, Shows, and Family Fun

Ramona Oaks Park was buzzing with holiday cheer and children’s laughter last Sunday as Recreation Manager Amy Holsapple and her team hosted the SDCEA Holiday Fair. Over 22 vendor booths showcased unique treasures like handmade horseshoe art, wooden toys, cutting boards, and knitted goods. Several booths featured delicious holiday foods, and our fave Outlaw BBQ served up the best in barbecue. Festivities included performances by a 15-member choir from Encinitas led by Director Melanie Jewell and a delightful dance performance showcasing RJAD’s talented young dancers. Kids also got to meet Santa and capture the moment with a festive photo!

A fresh chapter in Ramona’s equestrian tradition is unfolding in the San Diego Country Estates, where the sport of gymkhana continues to thrive under new leadership and a new name. This year, local rider and horsewoman Samantha Parsons stepped up as president of the newly formed Casey Tibbs Riders and is carrying forward decades of community horsemanship and friendly competition.
