February Employee of the Month: Susanne Hopkins Leads with Heart
Susanne Hopkins, Member Guest Services Supervisor at the hotel front desk, is recognized as February’s Employee of the Month for her outstanding service, teamwork, and heartfelt dedication to supporting our guests and the San Diego Country Estates community.
February is a month dedicated to love, appreciation and gratitude, making it the perfect time to recognize an employee who truly puts her heart into everything she does. SDCEA is proud to honor Susanne Hopkins as our February Employee of the Month.
Susanne, Member Guest Services Supervisor at the hotel front desk, has been a vital part of the San Vicente Resort team since December 2021. In her role, she manages hotel reservations, coordinates golf packages, and ensures guests feel welcomed and supported from check-in to check-out. She works closely with the restaurant, banquet staff, patrol, and pro shop to meet guest needs, while also managing cash banks, overseeing reservations, maintaining homeowner databases, and providing general clubhouse support.
Service is a core value at San Vicente Resort, which Susanne demonstrates every day. She consistently supports hotel guests and homeowners alike, assisting with dining, events, golf, and SDCEA-related questions. Her professionalism, reliability, and positive attitude make her a trusted and respected member of the team.
Susanne was chosen for this honor not only for her exceptional customer service, but also for being a true team player. She is always willing to assist other departments, communicate effectively, and help solve problems to keep daily operations running smoothly. Her dedication to excellence is evident in every interaction.
One area where Susanne has especially excelled is her leadership of the Front Desk “snack bar” sales, where she has taken full ownership and ensured consistent service and organization.
Outside of work, Susanne enjoys cheering on the Padres, spending time with family and friends, and attending live concerts. A music lover at heart, she appreciates all genres and believes there is nothing quite like seeing a band perform live.
When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Susanne points to the strong sense of teamwork across departments. She values working alongside the hotel, golf, food and beverage, catering, marketing, administrative, recreation, and equestrian teams, and appreciates the supportive environment they create together.
