Indalecio Leyva: October's Employee of the Month

Tiffany Pressler • October 2, 2024

Hats off to the Employee of the Month for October, Indalecio Leyva! Your dedication is genuinely appreciated.

Indalecio started with the San Diego Country Estates Association on May 4, 2010. He does landscape maintenance as part of the Open Space and Landscape Team. He works all aspects of landscape maintenance and is skilled as an equipment operator, a Class B Commercial Driver, and an all-around hard worker.

According to his supervisor, Nancy Zadrozny, Indalecio is the Association's only Class B driver and provides this service to both the Landscape and Equestrian departments. Indalecio is familiar with all the areas of SDCEA and is crucial during the annual Weed Abatement mowing process.

Indalecio's skills extend beyond maintenance. His background in construction and knowledge of concrete materials and processes have been instrumental in various projects. His work on the rock retaining wall at the pickleball courts and the retaining wall at Ramona Oaks Park Pool has not only enhanced the aesthetics but also improved the usability of these areas, providing a usable pathway for staff and guests.

When he is not working, Indalecio enjoys spending time with his family and young son, keeping busy with various activities. As an SDCEA employee, he loves the people he works with and enjoys working with his fellow crew members. His nickname is "Smiley," and he is a joy to work with.

Indalecio, your outstanding contributions have not gone unnoticed. We are eager to see what more you will accomplish in the future.
