Junior Golf Clinics

Learning skills as a youth to foster a lifelong love of golf.

Junior Golf Clinics are back. After a very successful PGA Junior League with 33 participants ages 6-13, we are back to offering Junior Golf Clinics on Wednesdays at 4 pm and Saturdays at 10 am.

Clinics cover "Fundamentals" of full swing, chipping, pitching, bunker shots, and putting. The lessons are designed to establish a solid foundation that will stay with them for a lifetime.

Junior Clinics are important for several reasons:

Skill Development: Clinics provide structured training sessions where young golfers can learn and improve their skills under the guidance of experienced coaches. They cover everything from basic techniques to advanced strategies, helping juniors develop a strong foundation in the sport.

Socialization: Golf clinics often involve group activities, which help juniors socialize and interact with other young golfers. This can be particularly beneficial for their social development, teaching them teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship.

Access to Coaching: Clinics give junior golfers access to professional coaching that they might not receive otherwise. Coaches can provide personalized feedback, correct mistakes early on, and offer guidance tailored to each junior's abilities and goals.

Introduction to Golf Culture: Junior clinics introduce young players to the culture and etiquette of golf. They learn about rules, proper behavior on the course, and respect for the game, which are essential aspects of golf that go beyond just swinging a club.

Physical Activity: Golf clinics encourage physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle among juniors. They involve practice sessions and drills that improve fitness, coordination, and motor skills.

Building Confidence: Success in golf clinics, whether through mastering a new skill or achieving a personal best, boosts a junior golfer's confidence. This confidence can translate into other areas of life, promoting a positive self-image and a willingness to take on challenges.

Long-Term Engagement: By fostering skills, social connections, and confidence, junior golf clinics can cultivate a lifelong love for the sport. Many professional golfers started in junior programs, demonstrating the potential impact of early exposure and training.

Golf is a great individual and family activity. When you get your kids involved with golf, then the fun can be shared by the whole family. Keep an eye out for our upcoming junior and family golf events: Drive, Chip & Putt, Parent Child Tournament, and Family Golf Day,
