Karly Ewing: September’s Employee of the Month

San Diego Country Estates Association is proud to announce Karly Ewing as employee of the month for September.

Karly Ewing joined the SDCEA team on October 5, 2023. As Program Coordinator for the San Diego Country Estates Association Recreation Department, Karly oversees the planning and running of the after-school program and summer camp.

She earned the honor of employee of the month with her dedication and impressive work ethic. She collaborates well with the camp counselors and is always willing to jump in and help. She is the type of person who sees what needs to be done and volunteers to help before being asked.

Karly has been her supervisor, Amy Holsapple-Lueck’s, right hand, helping with community events and going beyond her job description. “She just finished her first summer camp with us, and Karly made sure the staff and the children had a good time,” says Holsapple-Lueck. “Karly is a wonderful addition to our department.”

She excelled in planning a 10-week summer camp. She planned crafts, field trips, games, and activities for 50 children. She also volunteered to help run some of our concerts in the park and help with our BBQ competition.

Karly likes working with the Recreation staff and watching the children thrive at the recreation center. When she is not at work, she enjoys camping, playing with her pigs, and relaxing with a glass of wine and a good book.
