Maureen Brown: November’s Employee of the Month

Tiffany Pressler • November 7, 2024

This month, we are thankful to be able to bring focus to Maureen Brown, our employee of the month. She joined the San Diego Country Estates team on June 1, 2022, and thrives in her role as an accounting manager.

Maureen Brown’s job entails preparing monthly financials and processing payroll. She works on employee benefits and monthly safety meetings, assists the Director of Financial Operations as needed, and is part of the Human Resources team.

Maureen is a valuable part of the accounting team, capable of juggling multiple tasks in a bustling office. She handles employees’ questions and concerns regarding benefits and payroll. She has a can-do attitude and is an asset to SDCEA, and her hard work deserves to be recognized.

Outside the workplace, Maureen is an avid gardener, finding joy in planting and cultivating plants around her home. On the weekends, she likes to hike some of the trails in Ramona. More recently, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren. This year, she welcomed two new granddaughters into the family, one from her son and the other from her daughter; both baby girls were born on the same day. Maureen lights up when talking about her grandbabies, her pride and joy.

Maureen has organized and taken the lead at the Employee Safety & Wellness Fair two years in a row. On top of her work in the Human Resource Department assisting employees with a myriad of items, she plays an integral role in planning the Employee Appreciation event. She loves getting to know staff in all departments and makes a special effort to remember names. She will always stop to say hello.

We are grateful for Maureen’s contributions to the Association. She is a model of excellence and dedication.
