Christmas Bells rang at the San Vicente Saddle Club Christmas Party last Sunday, December 15.

Several members and their families gathered at the San Vicente Saddle Club Christmas Party to enjoy an evening of food, friendship, and fun. The main dish was lasagna, along with a variety of Bundt cakes for dessert provided by Danny’s Kitchen. Members and guests RSVP’d to San Vicente Saddle Club Treasurer Cheryl Schlauch with what side dishes they wanted to bring to the potluck. There was a variety of other food, including pizza, antipasto salad, cookies, cake, and candy for guests to enjoy.

The party took place from 4 to 7 pm at the International Equestrian Center Rotunda building. Friends and family gathered and told horse tales about the years past and bonded over a tasty festive meal. As the celebration drew to a close, members sipped their soda and water and shared stories of their favorite rides and cherished horses. The air was filled with laughter and a great reminder that horse lovers share a special connection as strong as the holiday spirit. As the guests waved and hugged goodbye, they promised to gather again with their horses once the new year arrives.

San Vicente Saddle Club President Kevin Cousineau says the club met for the nice social but is taking the month off from meeting up with the horses. As we look toward the new year, he projects that 2025 will have fun events on the agenda. They plan to have another fun day and a schooling show. Vice President, Jeffi Wood, said the schooling show will be a combination of English and Western pleasure. They hope to have a gymkhana show on another date, and she is looking forward to the future of the club.
