Start the New Year with Bliss at Riviera Wellness Spa

Tiffany Pressler • January 8, 2025

As a fresh new year has begun, there's no better time to prioritize self-care. Riviera Wellness Spa invites you to embrace self-love and wellness with a variety of luxurious services designed to help you recharge, rejuvenate, and step into the year ahead feeling your absolute best.

P.J. Terry and her niece, Jennifer Lannon, have been co-owners of Riviera Wellness Spa for over 12 years. Both worked at the spa under the previous owners before they were given the opportunity to take over. Together, they manage the spa and share the responsibilities of daily operations.

Riviera Wellness Spa has seven therapists on staff and offers a range of skincare and massage services. They provide various massage options tailored to their customers' needs, including a relaxing massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, river rock massage, and a prenatal massage for expectant mothers in their second and third trimesters. Another popular service is the couples' massage. In addition, the spa features a full-service hair salon that offers haircuts, color and highlight services, blowouts, and gloss treatments.

They offer a variety of packages at reasonable prices. Guests can enjoy a 2-hour combo massage and facial package for $169. The package includes a 50-minute relaxing full-body massage and a 50-minute customized facial. For those seeking longer treatments, they offer a deluxe 3-hour package that consists of an 80-minute relaxing massage and an 80-minute deluxe facial for $220. Additionally, there are many more packages for clients to choose from to meet their spa day needs!

The spa uses a professional product line by Rhonda Allison, who introduced advanced peel formulations and techniques to the United States, emphasizing results-driven skincare with a focus on science and natural ingredients. Her work helped popularize chemical peels as a mainstream skincare treatment and raised awareness about the importance of safe and effective peeling methods. They also offer Rezenerate Nano Technology, and Terry says it provides a lot of bang for your buck. Rezenerate is a cutting-edge skincare tool that utilizes nanotechnology to deliver advanced skin rejuvenation treatments.

Riviera Wellness Spa is an excellent amenity for the community, providing high-end services without the high-end prices. Booking or gifting a treatment not only benefits the client but also the spa and its therapists. They have partnered with the San Vicente Resort, Riviera Oaks Resort, and The Goodlife Resort, but the majority of their clients are Ramona locals. "We are grateful for our regulars," says Terry. She and Lannon enjoy connecting with people at the spa and love to see people leave with smiles on their faces.

As the New Year begins, it's time to hit the reset button on your mind, body, and spirit. Terry and Lannon agree it's important that people take care of themselves and prioritize self-care. Many may see getting a spa treatment as "pampering," but Terry and Lannon see it as self-love and preventative medicine.
