Storybook House: July Home of the Month

By Tiffany Pressler • July 26, 2024

Congratulations to Jeff and Gina and their storybook house for being awarded Home of the Month for July.

Jeff and Gina have lived in Ramona since 2016. They moved to SDCE when they fell in love with their house and the community. According to Gina, their home is unique because it’s a Tudor-style home, a storybook house style that came to the United States in the 1900s. It has a staircase that goes through a double brick fireplace.

The landscaping is complete with retaining walls and garden beds. The couple replaced the rock landscaping with perennials and trees, including 15 varieties of fruit trees.

The couple has been married for 19 years and has three children: two girls—Taylor, 17, and Korey, 14—and one son, Luke, 12. They moved to this community from Oceanside because they wanted more land and space to raise their family.

Gina works from home so she can be with her children. Their spacious yard gives their family plenty of space and captivating views while surrounded by mountains.

Their beautiful home is 2,500 square feet, and the couple has made it their own with several upgrades, including new exterior paint, a new roof, solar, and upgrades to the kitchen, bath and flooring. “All of the improvements made in our home have been done by ourselves, besides the exterior paint. It makes us love our home even more because of all the personal touches and TLC put into it.”
