Summer Fun Awaits at the SDCE Pools
SDCE Pools offer more than a cool break from the summer heat: enjoy lunch or dinner poolside and take a day off.
Nothing says summer quite like a day at the pool, and residents of San Diego Country Estates have two great options for cooling off, staying active, and spending quality time with family and friends.
The Club Pool at San Vicente is open and heated year-round, offering a welcoming place to swim in every season. The Ramona Oaks Park Pool (ROP) is heated and open from May through October, providing another beautiful location for residents to enjoy the warm weather.
According to Aquatic Director Heather Holden, the pools offer more than just recreation. "Our lifeguards help create a safer environment at the pool," she said. With a team of 20 lifeguards on staff, families can relax knowing there are extra sets of trained eyes helping watch over swimmers. “It’s a nice place to bring the kids and escape the heat.”
Both pool facilities feature stunning mountain views and a family-friendly atmosphere, making them popular gathering places throughout the summer.
Pool Hours:
Ramona Oaks Park Pool (ROP)
- Open daily
- Swim classes and private lessons: 8 am to 11 am
- Family swim: 11 am to 6 pm.
San Vicente Club Pool
- Open daily
- Lap swim: 7 am to 11 am
- Family swim: 11 am to 7 pm
- Evening lap swim: 7 pm to 10 pm
Hungry after your wwim? Craving some cheesy nachos with jalapeños? You can find them right here in your own backyard at the SDCE Snack Bar.
Whether you're looking for a quick bite between swims or a cool treat on a hot day, the snack bar has something for everyone. Guests can enjoy sandwiches, salads, snacks, soft serve ice cream, and refreshing beverages. Not quite hungry enough for a full meal? Many sandwiches are available as a half sandwich, making them a perfect light lunch.
For those who prefer to skip the bread, egg salad and tuna salad can also be ordered in a cup. And don't forget dessert - the snack bar's soft-serve ice cream is a favorite among pool-goers and the perfect way to cool down after a day in the sun.
According to Chloe Coblentz, Lead Snack Bar Attendant, some menu highlights include hot dogs, chili dogs and burgers. The snack bar items are Monday through Friday 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday 7 am to 8 pm.
“We have fast and friendly service and love our kid customers,” says Coblentz.
Pool visitors can also order pizza, salads, and other menu items from the Par Lounge Tuesday through Friday from 11 am to 3 pm.
