On opening kickoff, The Oaks Grill turned into a stadium of smarts as 10 teams battled it out in Pro Football Trivia Night, with cheers, laughter, and prizes all around.

On Tuesday night, the San Vicente Resort came alive as more than 50 trivia fans gathered for an evening of fun, food, and football knowledge. The night’s theme was Pro Football, and many guests showed their team spirit by donning jerseys, caps, and fan gear. The restaurant buzzed with conversation as guests enjoyed full menu service, cold drinks, and plenty of laughter before the competition kicked off.

Ten spirited teams, each with 4–6 players, settled in at their tables ready to put their sports smarts to the test. Chico, the evening’s host, set the stage with lively music and a playful pregame atmosphere. At 6 PM, he surprised the crowd by re-entering the room dressed as a referee. Cheers erupted as he grabbed the microphone, thanked the staff, and announced the format: five themed categories plus a lightning round, all centered on pro football.

As the game began, only one player per team held the official answer sheet, while cell phones were collected in baskets at each table to keep the competition fair. After each round, teams swapped sheets with their neighbors for scoring, and Chico tallied points on a large whiteboard, keeping the tension high and the energy rolling.

Prizes sweetened the stakes: a $75 gift card for first place, $50 for second, and $25 for third. Teams leaned in close, debated answers, and celebrated victories big and small with high fives and cheers.

The excitement was contagious. "This is so fun!" said participant Amy Sailors as she joined in the energy.

By the end of the night, it wasn’t just about the winners—it was about community, shared love of football, trivia, and scoring lasting memories.
