A Night to Celebrate: San Vicente Golf Members Gather for an Elegant Holiday Evening

San Vicente Golf Club members and Players Club participants came together for an elegant holiday celebration that highlighted camaraderie, gratitude, and optimism for the year ahead.

Seventy-seven San Vicente Golf Club members and Players Club participants celebrated the holiday season at their annual holiday gathering on Saturday evening at San Vicente Resort.

Guests arrived dressed in formal attire, an elegant departure from typical golf course fashion, and the evening reflected a rare opportunity to see more couples together, rather than the familiar weekly men’s, women’s, or monthly couples’ golf groups. The atmosphere felt festive, refined, and refreshingly social.

The evening began with a cocktail hour at the Par, where guests enjoyed two hosted drinks alongside appetizers featuring a charcuterie board and shrimp cocktail. Dinner followed in the San Vicente Room, where attendees were treated to a thoughtfully curated menu that included a choice of red or white wine, a fresh salad course, and a banquet-style dinner highlighted by carving stations offering two selections of meat.

Golf Board President Corinne Hill welcomed guests with a brief address, reflecting on the highlights of 2025 while also acknowledging the challenges ahead. She noted that the loss of 64 Good Life members would require thoughtful focus as the club moves into 2026.

She also recognized Golf Pro Matt Brumbaugh, Golf Course Superintendent Ben McBride, and their teams, thanking them for their dedication and outstanding work throughout 2025 and their continued commitment heading into 2026.

Hill expressed sincere appreciation for the 2025 Golf Board members and recognized those continuing their service in 2026. She also acknowledged the leadership and dedication of the Board of Governors, club representatives, and committee chairs who support the strength and success of San Vicente Golf.

In closing, Hill encouraged members to use their complimentary golf passes and invite new players to experience the course firsthand—an invitation to share what makes San Vicente Golf Resort a special place and to welcome future members into the community.

Attendees had a wonderful time with each other and concluded the night at the Par Lounge for a party featuring live music by the Whole Sha-bang band.
