A Strong Start to 2026 at Our Equestrian Centers

Marissa Travis, Equestrian Supervisor • January 21, 2026

From a successful community event to seasonal maintenance and important annual reminders, 2026 is off to a productive and welcoming start at the International Equestrian Center and Casey Tibbs Western Center.

The new year is off to a strong and energetic start at both the International Equestrian Center and Casey Tibbs Western Center, with our team already hard at work preparing the facilities for an exciting year ahead. After a wonderful holiday season, we jumped right into 2026 focused on maintaining welcoming, well-kept spaces for our equestrian community.

Kicking off the year, the International Equestrian Center proudly hosted its first event of 2026, the Ramona Rodeo Foundation’s inaugural Poker Ride–Bike–Hike. This family-friendly event was a tremendous success, welcoming participants of all ages and abilities. The day was well organized, filled with positive energy, and supported by friendly volunteers who greeted everyone with smiles, creating a fun and inclusive experience for all.

Looking ahead, we are excited to continue hosting events at both centers and encourage even more community members to join in the activities and camaraderie throughout the year.

We are also happy to welcome back Colton Snyder, our lead equestrian maintenance team member. If you see him around the facilities, be sure to say hello and welcome him back.

With the recent rainfall over the past month, our maintenance team will be especially busy with mowing and weeding to keep the grounds looking their best as we move into the new season.

As we update records for 2026, we kindly remind all facility users to ensure the San Diego Country Estates Association Release has been signed and returned. Thank you to everyone who has already completed this step.

Finally, we appreciate those who have already paid the 2026 manure dump fee. If you still need to receive your updated sticker to dump at the IEC, please reach out to the Equestrian Team, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to a great year ahead at our equestrian centers.
