SDCEA invites residents to join committees that shape community facilities, policies, and activities.​

Committees serve as a platform for residents to actively engage with our community, bringing diverse perspectives and skills to facilitate successful implementation of projects and initiatives.

We seek to fill seats for the following committees:


Community Relations Committee – 5 Members

The Community Relations Committee (CRC) conducts hearings for members as required by the Association’s governing documents and California Civil Code. The enforcement and appeal procedures are provided as Exhibit 1 of the CRC Charter.


Equestrian Committee – 5 Members

The Equestrian Committee will discuss, evaluate and formulate recommendations to the Equestrian Manager and the Board regarding the general maintenance level and aesthetics of the equestrian facilities; additions, deletions, and changes to the physical facilities; events and activities that will take place at the facilities; methods to promote the facilities and activities; fee structures; and policies related to the equestrian facilities.


Fire Safety Committee – 5 Members

The Fire Safety Committee is established to ensure that the best fire-safe practices are implemented by the Association and its members. The committee's primary objectives are as follows:


1.   To develop, implement, and maintain fire safety policies, procedures, and protocols.

2.   To identify and assess fire hazards within the Association.

3.   To educate stakeholders on fire safety measures and evacuation procedures.

4.   To monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fire safety measures.

5.   To make recommendations for improvements and to recommend corrective actions to mitigate fire risks.

6.   To ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal fire safety regulations and codes.

7.   To explore the opportunity of becoming a California Firewise Community (Firewise).



(Ad Hoc) Golf Course Water Storage Committee - 5 Members

The Golf Course Water Storage Committee is established to assess, plan, and recommend strategies for optimizing water storage and management to ensure sustainable and efficient use of water resources for the golf course. This includes evaluating current water storage infrastructure and identifying potential improvements. Interested members shall have related engineering, utility, or golf course operations experience.


San Vicente Valley News Editorial Advisory Committee – 5 Members

The San Vicente Valley News Editorial Advisory Committee shall be responsible for ensuring that the San Vicente Valley News (SVVN) is balanced and conforms to the editorial policy, journalistic quality and ethical advertising principles. The focus of the SVVN will be on local activities and issues of interest to SDCEA and the surrounding community.


If you are interested in serving on any of the following committees, please complete the Volunteer to Serve Form on the Committee page and attach your resume. If preferred, you may hand-deliver your completed Committee Volunteer Request form and your printed resume to the Administration Office by 3 pm on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. All submissions must be received by 3 pm on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026. Committees will be appointed at the Board meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
