A new school year means exciting after-school fun, homework help, and new tech tools at the Rec Center—starting Monday, Aug. 18!

Summer may be winding down, but the fun continues as we gear up for another exciting season at the Rec Center! Our popular After-School Program returns Monday, Aug. 18, and we can’t wait to welcome your kids back for afternoons filled with friendship, learning, and adventure.

This summer’s ImagiCamp was packed with creativity, play, and exploration—from arts and crafts and outdoor games to bi-weekly field trips and swimming fun. Now, it’s time to shift gears as we move into the school year with just as much energy and heart.

Our After-School Program includes group games, homework help, seasonal crafts, and valuable lessons in respect and kindness. Kids ages 5 to 12 are welcome. We provide pick-up from James Dukes and Barnett Elementary, and drop-off begins at 1:50 pm at the Recreation Center, with the program running until 6 pm.

Program Costs:

  • $20 per afternoon for homeowners
  • $25 per afternoon for non-homeowners
  • Monthly full-time (Aug. – Sept.): $620 for one child, or $1178 for two children with a 10% sibling discount
  • One-time registration fee: $25

We’ve added four Chromebooks to help students complete homework, which is especially helpful for families without home computer access.

To register or learn more, call the Recreation Department at 760-789-4146.
