Behind the Scenes: Unveiling the Landscape Team’s Work

By Nancy Zadrozny, Landscape and Open Space Manager • September 25, 2025

The Landscape crew does far more than mowing grass—they quietly keep our community beautiful, functional, and event-ready every day.

Flowers in bloom and green, well-kept parks are what most of us see in Landscape. But beyond the obvious, the Landscape team provides vital services that keep our community running smoothly.

Additionally, the Landscape team provides services that keep the Association’s outdoor areas—and much more—humming along smoothly. In addition to standard and ongoing maintenance in our parks, the restrooms at Ramona Oaks Park are cleaned and stocked with supplies. The parks are carefully groomed and adjusted to ensure events have everything needed, including supplies and clean-up support.

In addition to the dog parks, the HOA has seven dog clean-up stations with trash cans at major trails and park areas to accommodate our dog walkers. Doggie Bags are kept stocked, and the refuse is regularly emptied by our landscape crews.

Weddings at Georgia’s Garden are monitored to ensure the best possible ambiance, complete with top-notch maintenance for the event. Areas such as the RV lots are cleaned and cleared regularly, and the team assists with the Equestrian facilities when needed. Landscape cleans our pool areas and decks, and trash is emptied daily from all areas. Often, when departments need bulky or heavy items moved or removed, the Landscape team is called upon to handle the task.

Unfortunately, issues such as tossed trash, illegal dumping, and other problems have become increasingly common throughout the community. The Landscape team regularly monitors streets and open spaces, removes debris, and addresses graffiti wherever it appears, ensuring our neighborhood remains clean and welcoming. Roadside trash pickup remains a regular part of their responsibilities.

Much of this work happens quietly behind the scenes, yet it makes a visible difference in the quality of life we all enjoy. Landscape is more than clearing areas, pruning plants, and mowing grass—it’s the ongoing care that helps our neighborhood feel safe, clean, and welcoming.

Please join us in giving a big thank-you to the Landscape crew. A wave or a kind word when you see them at work goes a long way—your appreciation truly means a lot.
