Community Relations Department: Partnering for a Better Community

Joshua Jones, Assistant General Manager • October 10, 2024

The Community Relations Department supports homeowners through inspections, project applications, and ensuring compliance with governing documents. It also maximizes resources to cover the Association efficiently.

The Community Relations Department (CRD) has been actively partnering with homeowners to support their needs. The department’s primary objective is to conduct inspections, implement corrective measures, and facilitate the operations of the Environmental Control Committee in processing project applications. CRD operates with the understanding that homeowners have a personal investment in their property and seek to maintain both their quality of life and property values through the protections outlined in the governing documents.

The CRD team conducts regular inspections, including routine items such as trash cans and parking, Property Reviews for a more in-depth look, and Escrow Inspections. With only one inspector on the team, we cover a lot of ground.

Since the start of the year, CRD has issued 1,668 conformance notices. The pie chart shows the different rules referenced and the number of occurrences for each.

Additionally, we manage our inspection routes to provide the greatest coverage of the Association. The included map outlines each notice that has been opened this year and how well the CRD team covers each portion of the Association. Typically, with communities of our size, there are five inspectors. While we don’t have that level of staff, we are effectively using our available resources.

When you are ready to start a project or have questions about the governing documents, CRD is ready to help. Contact us at CRDdept@sdcea.net or 760-789-8747.
