July’s featured wine maker pours award-winning wines paired with dinner specials at the Par Lounge.

Wine lovers are invited to spend an enjoyable summer evening at the Par Lounge on Tuesday, July 29, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for the latest Meet the Winemaker event, featuring Milagro Winery of Ramona. Guests will enjoy live music by Travis Billy Ross while sipping award-winning local wines and hearing the story behind one of the Ramona Valley's most picturesque wineries.

Representing Milagro Winery will be General Manager Samantha Connolly, who will share the winery's history, its philosophy, and what makes the estate such a unique destination in the Ramona Valley.

Milagro Winery's story is rooted in family, hospitality, and a passion for both wine and the land. In 2014, three related families purchased the 110-acre estate, falling in love with its rolling vineyards, sculpted granite boulders, majestic Coast Live Oak trees, and breathtaking scenery. They continued the legacy established by the property's original owners while adding their own vision centered on authenticity, community, and respect for the unique character of the Ramona Valley.

The winery's name, Milagro, means "miracle" in Spanish. Before the current owners purchased the property, a wildfire swept through the surrounding area, yet the winery itself remained untouched. That remarkable event inspired the name, which continues to symbolize resilience, hope, and gratitude.

Nestled at approximately 2,400 feet above sea level, Milagro benefits from warm Southern California days and cool evenings, ideal conditions for producing balanced, flavorful wines. The estate is home to 11 grape varietals, drought-conscious vineyards, an organic farm, fruit and nut orchards, and a striking wine cave and crush house that create an unforgettable winery experience.

Connolly's own journey to Milagro is as memorable as the winery itself. While working a wedding at the estate several years ago, she instantly fell in love with the property. When a position later became available, she applied and joined the team as Venue Manager. Today, she serves as General Manager, overseeing both the tasting room and the winery's thriving wedding venue.

"What I enjoy most is interacting with guests and helping them create memorable experiences," Connolly said. "Whether someone is visiting for a casual tasting, a special celebration, or a winery event, I love guiding them through the wines and making every visit feel personal and welcoming."

During the evening, guests will have the opportunity to sample two of Milagro's featured wines: the refreshing Ballena Blanco, one of the winery's newer additions, and the rich, approachable Bellorosso.

Attendees can also learn about Milagro's winemaking philosophy, which focuses on allowing the fruit and the Ramona Valley terroir to shine in every bottle. Rather than overpowering the wines, the winemaking team works in harmony with the land to craft balanced wines that reflect both the estate and the region.

In addition to enjoying exceptional wines, guests will hear the inspiring story behind Milagro Winery, discover what makes the estate unique, and gain a deeper appreciation for the people and passion behind every bottle.

Whether you're a longtime fan of Ramona Valley wines or discovering them for the first time, Meet the Winemaker offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with the people who make the region's wine industry so special.

The event takes place Tuesday, July 29, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Par Lounge. Enjoy an evening of local wine, live music by Travis Billy Ross, and great conversation while learning more about the miracle that is Milagro Winery.
