Fall Trail Maintenance and Pruning Season in the Estates
As cooler weather arrives, the Landscape Team is busy pruning native plants and clearing trails to keep SDCE’s 17 miles of Green Line paths safe and beautiful for all to enjoy.
As the weather cools, our Landscape Team focuses on maintaining the health of our native plants, especially our oak trees and shrubs. Cooler temperatures make this the ideal time for pruning, allowing our landscape to thrive through the seasons.
Our team is also working along SDCE’s 17 miles of “Green Line” trails to ensure they remain open and enjoyable for all users. Trimming overhanging branches and clearing encroaching vegetation keep our trails safe and accessible for horseback riders, hikers, and bicyclists alike.
Originally designed by developer Ray Watt, these Green Line trails and private easements connect throughout the valley, creating a unique trail network that serves as the “glue” of our community. While the HOA maintains the Green Lines, homeowners are responsible for keeping their own easements clear. This shared effort helps preserve our remarkable trail system for everyone.
Many of these trails provide access to nearby County Parks, including Simon Park off Bassett Way, Mt. Gower at the end of Gunn Stage Road, and the challenging Cedar Falls Trail at the end of Ramona Oaks and Thornbush Road.
We welcome your feedback on any problem areas along our trails or open spaces so we can address them promptly.
