Marissa Travis, Equestrian Supervisor • October 1, 2025

The International Equestrian Center and Cassey Tibbs Western Center welcome new horses and riders this fall while gearing up for the October 11 Gymkhana Buckle Series and a season of growing community spirit.

We’re excited to welcome new boarders and horses to both the International Equestrian Center and Cassey Tibbs Western Center! This season has been full of activity, and we’re grateful to see our equestrian community continue to thrive.

For more information or to schedule a tour of the boarding facilities at the International Equestrian Center or the Casey Tibbs Western Center, please contact Marissa Travis at 760-484-0242 or via email at Equestrian2@sdcea.net. We look forward to assisting you with your equestrian needs.

With October upon us, both facilities are preparing for winter. Proactive steps now ensure our arenas, barns, and grounds are ready for the rainy season, keeping riders and horses comfortable and safe.

Cassey Tibbs Riders Gymkhana Buckle Series

On Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, the Cassey Tibbs Riders will host the second event in their popular Gymkhana Buckle Series. Open to riders of all ages and skill levels, this fast-paced competition features barrels, poles, and plenty of friendly challenges. The event promises a spirited day of horsemanship, laughter, and fun. Pre-entries are encouraged to keep everything running smoothly, and spectators are warmly welcomed. Even if you don’t ride, come out to cheer on your fellow horse lovers and enjoy the excitement. See
flyer for details.

As we head into the final months of the year, it’s inspiring to see our community growing not just in numbers, but in camaraderie, spirit, and shared purpose. Together, we’re building a vibrant equestrian tradition that will carry us forward season after season.
