Letters & Lines Equestrian Blends Skill, Spirit, and Community
In the heart of the San Diego Country Estates, Letters & Lines Equestrian is more than just a riding program; it’s a place where riders and horses learn, grow, and succeed together.
Letters & Lines Equestrian is owned and operated by Lauren Munos, a lifelong horsewoman with extensive experience across many riding disciplines. Munos has ridden and competed extensively on the jumper circuit, shown western pleasure horses, and participated in rodeo. She also has a strong background in dressage and is a USDF Bronze Medalist. Recently, she has returned to her roots, taking clients to local ranch riding competitions while also attending dressage shows, hunter/jumper competitions, and even community gymkhanas.
Known for blending a professional approach with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, the program is designed to give riders a well-rounded foundation in horsemanship. The program goes beyond riding skills, teaching students how to understand, care for, and truly connect with horses. Lessons are available for all levels, from beginners taking their very first ride to advanced students looking to sharpen their technique and prepare for shows.
Instruction focuses on confidence, balance, and communication, helping riders learn not just how to ride, but how to build a partnership with their horse. The program emphasizes safety and responsibility, making it an excellent choice for families who want their children to learn valuable life skills in a supportive setting. For those with competitive goals, Letters & Lines Equestrian offers show preparation and coaching, providing riders with the tools to enter the arena with skill and confidence.
Munos is SafeSport certified and holds CPR and First Aid certifications for both children and adults, ensuring a safe and professional environment for every rider. Her teaching philosophy is built on the belief that every rider, especially children, should have the opportunity to explore a variety of disciplines before choosing a specialty. This well-rounded approach not only cultivates skilled equestrians but also fosters confident, adaptable individuals. Coming from a long line of horsemen and horsewomen, she brings a deep respect for tradition paired with a passion for making riding accessible and fun.
In addition to lessons and training, Munos is a vendor with Pacific Coast Academy Charter School and partners with the San Diego Regional Center to provide therapeutic riding opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. She is also working toward her PATH International certification in therapeutic riding, as well as a degree in child development, to further support and grow this important part of her business.
At the heart of Letters & Lines are Munos’ trusted lesson horses, who make it possible to serve riders of all ages and levels. Her goal has always been to give back to the community, fostering a welcoming, family-friendly environment where horses bring people together.
Letters & Lines Equestrian, located at the International Equestrian Center at 16911 Gunn Stage Road, continues to grow as a trusted hub for horsemanship, education, and community connection, helping riders of all ages discover the joy and rewards of life with horses.
