We are excited to invite you to the Grand Opening of San Vicente Park, an event designed to foster community engagement and celebrate our shared commitment to environmental sustainability. This park is located west of the pickleball courts, and is a special place for the community to come together, connect, and enjoy the beauty of nature.

  • Date: Saturday, Sept. 28


  • Time: 5 pm – end
  • Golf Cart Assistance: 4:30 – 6:30 pm


Join us for an evening of celebration featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, engaging speakers, live music, and a delicious BBQ! Plus, learn about the park's positive environmental impact and how we're contributing to a more sustainable future.


What to Expect:


  • An Inspiring Opening: Landscape Manager and project visionary Nancy Zadrozny, SDCEA Board President Jeffrey Wells, and General Manager Darren Shaw will share the story behind the park. This will be followed by the presentation of a $150,000 check from SoCal Water Smart and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.


  • Backyard BBQ Classics: Savor complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and refreshing cold soda and water.


  • Live Music: Enjoy the evening with music by Dave Chandroo, lead singer of Harmony Grove.


  • Golf Cart Assistance will be available to ensure you can comfortably enjoy the event.
