Junior Golf Program

Matt Brumbaugh, San Vicente Golf Pro • May 3, 2024

Our Junior Program at San Vicente is Thriving.

We offer Clinics for Juniors from ages 6 – 13 every Wednesday at 4 pm & Saturday at 10 am. Our clinics focus on Putting, Chipping and full swing. There are an equal number of boys and girls enrolled in our program, and we average between 10-15 students at each clinic. I want to make golf available to all Juniors and share with them the game I love.

Our instructors are dedicated to growing the game and keeping it simple & enjoyable. Fred Arcaina has been teaching golf at San Vicente for 16 years, and was a member of the All-Navy golf team when he served. Tim Smith is a newer instructor to golf and brings an excellent golf skill set and enthusiasm like no other. Cody Snyder and Darryle Neff are both PGA level 1 apprentices with great talent for playing golf. Sergio Saucedo enjoys working with the kids and specializes in short game. Matt Brumbaugh PGA is a Class A instructor with 25 years of experience teaching all levels.

Our PGA Junior League runs May 15 – June 29. This league is run through the PGA of America and takes place at facilities around the country. The Juniors compete in a 2-player scramble vs their opponents. The course is a modified length that allows our youngest players to compete. Each Participant receives two golf shirts with their name and number on the back. The theme is developmental and fun, with a small hint of competition.
