Residents and guests gathered at San Vicente Resort on Tuesday, June 16, for a successful dinner and show event that brought laughter, good food, and community connection to San Diego Country Estates.

The evening began with a buffet dinner at The Oaks Grille, where attendees enjoyed a relaxed meal and the opportunity to socialize with friends and neighbors. Following dinner, guests moved to the San Vicente Room for an entertaining stand-up comedy performance featuring local comedians Dean Larit and Alex Malt.

Both comedians kept the audience engaged throughout the night with their energetic stage presence, relatable stories, and quick-witted humor. The crowd responded with frequent laughter and enthusiastic applause, creating a lively atmosphere that carried through the entire performance.

Alex Malt took the stage first, followed by Dean Larit. Malt captivated the audience with a quick-witted set that blended sharp observational humor with local references, drawing frequent laughs and setting an energetic tone for the rest of the night.

“I never thought I would be performing parallel to the 17th hole of a golf course,” says comedian Dean Larit. “It’s really good to be here.” He shared that as a stand-up comedian, he gets to make people laugh for living.

The event offered residents a welcome opportunity to enjoy professional live entertainment close to home. Rather than traveling into San Diego, guests were able to experience a quality comedy show within their own community while supporting a local gathering space.

Beyond the comedy itself, the evening highlighted the importance of community events in bringing people together. Attendees shared conversations, enjoyed a meal, and spent an evening unwinding in a fun and welcoming environment.

As stand-up comedy continues to grow in popularity, events like this demonstrate the value of providing local entertainment options that foster both enjoyment and connection. Based on the positive response from attendees, the San Vicente Resort comedy night proved to be a memorable midweek outing for many residents.

The San Vicente Resort plans to feature comedy night the third Tuesday of each month through July and August.

The combination of dining, laughter, and community spirit made for a successful evening and a reminder that great entertainment can often be found close to home.
