Meet the Instructor: Tim Smith
Meet Tim Smith, the passionate San Vicente Golf Resort instructor who is inspiring the next generation of golfers while helping players of every age and skill level improve their game.
For nearly four years, Tim Smith has been a familiar face at San Vicente Golf Resort, serving as both a Golf Shop Assistant and instructor. With approximately 20 years of golfing experience and a background in law enforcement, Smith brings a wealth of knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm to the course.
One of Smith's primary responsibilities is leading San Vicente's thriving Junior Golf Clinic Program. The program currently serves between 80 and 100 young golfers, helping them develop skills, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for the game.
"What makes our Golf Shop unique is the fact that all of our shop employees assist in the junior program," said Smith. "It's truly a team effort, and we're all invested in helping young golfers learn and grow."
In addition to working with youth, Smith enjoys teaching golfers of all ages and skill levels. His extensive instructor training and passion for the game help students improve their technique while building confidence on the course.
When asked about his favorite club, Smith finds it impossible to choose just one.
"Every club in my bag is my favorite," he said. "Every stroke matters, from the driver to the putter."
Whether he's helping a beginner make their first swing or guiding a junior golfer through the fundamentals, Smith's dedication to teaching and growing the game is evident in everything he does. His commitment has made him an important part of the San Vicente Golf Resort team and a valued mentor to many golfers in the community.
