Horsefeathers

The Equestrian Team continues to make progress improving our equestrian facilities.

Arena 2 at Casey Tibbs is complete! A new DG base was installed, extending the arena an additional 16 feet, and we have a new washed concrete sand footing. The new sand will require extra watering and dragging for the first few weeks to get it fully worked in. We are still waiting for the last two panels to be delivered, but it is fully functional for riding and turnout now.

We pulled the rails down on both dressage courts at IEC, leveled and drug the footing, and now the courts are much better and ready to ride in. The infield was cleaned up. The trees were trimmed, old logs were removed, the area around the arena was weeded, and a new cross-country jump was installed.

Also, the San Vicente Saddle Club held a fun Horse Social Hour event last weekend. Read the story here.
