Recreation is Jumping into the New Year!

Amy Holsapple-Lueck, Recreation Manager • January 16, 2025

The Recreation Team welcomes 2025 with a lineup of engaging community events that bring joy, friendships, and unforgettable memories to residents of all ages.

At the Recreation Department, we are bursting with enthusiasm as we embark on the exciting journey of 2025, filled with new possibilities! As we leave 2024 behind, our team is thrilled to present a series of events that unite our community in celebration and joy.

In addition to the many children’s programs our Recreation Team manages, my favorite part of being the Manager of the Recreation Department is planning our community events. Witnessing the community come together to enjoy these gatherings brings immense joy to my heart. We have an exciting lineup, including Community Craft Fairs, an Easter Egg Hunt, Concerts in the Park that start in June, the Fourth of July Extravaganza, the Fall Festival, and our Holiday Fair. If you haven’t had the pleasure of attending one of our events yet, I invite you to join us and experience the camaraderie. Sitting in the park, listening to great music, often leads to the formation of wonderful friendships. Your kids might make new friends, too!

Our first event of the year is the Craft Fair and Vendor Market on Saturday, February 1, from 10 am to 2 pm at Ramona Oaks Park. We anticipate over 15 vendors offering a diverse range of one-of-a-kind gifts, and we will share more fun details soon. If you would like to display your crafts or products at the fair, please contact our Recreation Team at 760-789-4146. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s the perfect opportunity to find a unique item right here in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports our community events—we are genuinely delighted to see you there!

The HOA is enhancing safety and fire prevention along Ramona Oaks Road by removing hazardous trees, improving visibility, and redesigning medians with drought-tolerant plantings and new Crepe Myrtle trees, with completion expected by summer 2026.

At the San Diego Country Estates Association, we are fortunate to have a team full of hardworking, dedicated individuals. This month, we are proud to spotlight someone who exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond. Congratulations to our Employee of the Month for August, Tim Breidenstein, a team player both on and off the golf course.

She wore the crown as a Ramona Queen more than two decades ago, but even after all these years, Anjeanette hasn’t forgotten where she came from or what it gave her. The lessons of Ramona stayed with her: resilience, grace under pressure, and the strength to rebuild when life took a different course.
