SDG&E Wildfire Safety Fair: Saturday, May 18


Peak wildfire season is around the corner, and the San Diego Gas & Electric team wants you and your loved ones to remain safe. Plan to attend the first Wildfire Safety Fair of the year on Saturday, May 18, from 9 am – 1 pm at the Ramona Outdoor Community Center at 421 Aqua Lane. Admission is free.


Learn how you can continue to prepare and protect your family and property and get safety tips from SDG&E and our regional partners. You’ll receive information about stocking an emergency kit, developing an emergency plan, designing, or modifying the space around your home to resist wildfire and more.


Other event highlights include:

  • Live demo of our Arcs & Sparks – two fire elements which are created when high voltage is applied between two conducting electrodes.
  • Live music
  • Kids activities
  • Displays, information and more.

CalFire: We're Ready for Wildfire... Are You?


In preparation for the fire year, CAL FIRE has updated the ReadyForWildfire.org site. This one-stop-shop provides advice and guidance on everything from home hardening and defensible space, to what to pack for evacuation, to what California is doing to enhance and protect forest health. Stay one step ahead of California’s wildfires with our expert advice and together, we can be ready for wildfire.
