Spring Splendor: March Home of the Month

Tiffany Pressler • March 26, 2025

As the seasons shift and spring begins, our March Home of the Month is a reflection of warmth, charm, and timeless design. Richard and Karla Hardoon are the proud owners of this real estate and stunning residence that captures the inviting living spaces, thoughtful details, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Richard and Karla Hardoon’s 4,300 square foot home has five bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms with wood floors throughout. Outside, is a nice outdoor kitchen for barbecues and a sloped yard for their four dogs—three border collies and a chihuahua—to enjoy. Also on the property is a large separate 3-car garage. In addition, the home is equipped with solar panels.

Not only does the property offer stunning views of the countryside; Richard says he enjoys the San Diego Country Estates because it’s quiet and well-kept, and the people in the community are friendly. He also appreciates how light the traffic is and adds that it’s nice to have the San Vicente Resort nearby.

Richard is a flight department director and flies private jets, so he enjoys the peacefulness and serenity of this community. Karla’s hobbies include gardening and taking care of their dogs. She loves to tend to the plants and garden, which includes a succulent and cactus garden in the front yard.

The beauty of the residence, both inside and out, is a celebration of the effort these homeowners put into maintaining the property. The wonderfully kept home enhances the neighborhood aesthetic and inspires others to embrace the essence of springtime.

As the days grow longer and the first signs of spring appear, the Hardoons will be enjoying their outdoor barbecue and relishing the breathtaking views their residence offers.

Congratulations, Richard and Karla Hardoon, for being awarded March’s Home of the Month.
