Spring Break Fun: Exciting Activities to Keep Kids Entertained

Spring break is just around the corner, and if you are looking to keep your kids active, engaged, and having fun, you’re in luck.

Ramona Unified School District’s Spring break is March 24-28. The days are getting longer, and the fun is heating up.

The San Diego Country Estates will be hosting spring day camps from March 24-28 and April 18-21 at the Ramona Oaks Recreation Center. There will be crafts to make, games to play, and lots of unstoppable fun. Camp hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for $55 per day. Extended care hours are 6:30-8:30 am for $5 and 4:30-6:30 pm for $5. Pre-registration is required and all are welcome. If interested, please call 760-789-4146.

Another great way to keep the kids engaged while they are out of school is to get some exercise for the mind and body with a tour of the Ramona H.E.A.R.T. Mural Project. You can download a map here and check out the 20 murals, starting with Casey Tibbs and ending at La Quinceañera, with so much beauty throughout these incredible outdoor visual arts pieces.

Visit family-friendly venues in and around Ramona. The Oasis Camel Dairy offers interactive experiences with camels, including rides and feeding sessions. Additionally, venues like Farmstand 67 provide opportunities to learn about local agriculture and enjoy fresh produce. Happy Hens is another fun education spot to visit.

Explore local parks and enjoy outdoor activities. Ramona Oaks Park offers picnic areas, a large grass field for frisbee, and a basketball court. It's an excellent spot for families to relax and engage in recreational activities. The SDCE has great hiking and biking trails for the outdoor enthusiast. Homeowners can enjoy the amenities of the SDCEA and golf, play tennis, and use the equestrian facilities.

If you are considering taking the kiddos out of town, nearby attractions like San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Sea World, and Legoland offer fun for all ages. There is fun to be found all around San Diego; families can enjoy ice skating and roller-skating rinks, trampoline parks, movie theaters, and nearby beaches. San Diego has so much to offer with shopping and dining out as well; the opportunities are endless.

No matter how you choose to spend spring break, whether exploring the outdoors or making crafts, it's important to make these memories together. With a little planning and a spirit of adventure, it's sure to be a great mix of fun and relaxation to make this spring break one to remember.
