2025 SVMGC Senior Championship: Summer-Sun, Precision Birdies, and Ice-Cold Brews

Our senior golf stars proved at the 2025 SVMGC Championship that skill and spirit only grow stronger with time! It was a celebration fueled by talent, camaraderie, and a shared love for the game. Congratulations to Tim Malinoski, who claimed the title of Overall Gross Senior Winner, and to Roger Rajcic, named Overall Net Senior Winner.

This past weekend, our San Vicente golf course came alive with friendly competition and spirited camaraderie as players aged 55 and older took to the fairways for the San Vicente Men’s Senior Championship. Over two sun-drenched days, Saturday and Sunday, July 26 - 27, fifty-four veteran golfers demonstrated that age is no barrier to skill, strategy, and the pure joy of the game.

A True Test of Precision and Endurance

The tournament employed a Stroke Play format, meaning every drive, approach, chip, and putt counted. From the opening tee shot to the final putt, the participants knew that consistency would be their greatest ally. Early morning fog gave way to clear skies, and by midday, players contended with gentle breezes that made club selection as much an art as a science.

Standout Performances

Several golfers turned heads with crisp iron shots and smart putting. While Rajcic, Pollick, and Tinkham were all quite impressive, it was defending champ Tim Malinoski who once again rose to the occasion.

Malinoski and Rajcic Take Top Honors

As the scores were tallied and anticipation built, then came the announcement every competitor hoped for: Tim Malinoski had claimed his second consecutive title with rounds of 78 and 71 for a two-day total of 149, while Roger Rajcic won the Overall Net Senior category with a low score of 144.

Grilled Burgers, Cold Brews, and Golf Stories

Following the last putt, players and spectators alike gathered under the tent to unwind. Burgers fresh off the grill and ice-cold brews awaited, fueling lively conversation and friendly banter about the day’s highlights and near misses. Stories of spectacular drives and “almost there” putts filled the air, reinforcing why our club is more than just a place to play; it’s a gathering hub where lasting friendships are made.

Congratulations to our winners, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated. Here’s to another year of great golf, enduring friendships, and shared memories!
