Environmental Control Committee Opportunity

Joshua Jones, Assistant General Manager • June 6, 2025

SDCEA is looking to fill a vacancy on the Environmental Control Committee (ECC). The ECC is a 3-member committee established by Article IV of the CC&Rs, to ensure that all improvements on lots within the Association meet the standards outlined in the governing documents.

There is one position available with a term running July 2025 through June 2028.

The committee meets twice per month, on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday, generally for one hour from 8 am to 9 am, and then for a 20-minute Open Session at 11 am. The committee will conduct progress inspections for homeowner projects, review and approve project applications, and meet with homeowners as needed.

ECC members should be able to express themselves effectively while discussing subjects in a rational, polite, and professional manner with homeowners. Knowledge of SDCEA governing documents is recommended (CC&Rs and SDCEA Handbook). Committee members are not required to be a member of the Association, architect, or board member, but should have a related background in architecture, planning, projects, design, and related disciplines.

If you are interested in this position, please fill out a volunteer interest form and submit by Friday July 4, 2025, to Community Relations at CRDdept@sdcea.net, or by mail at 15910 Avenel Lane, Ramona CA 92065, Attn: CRD Manager.
