June's Home of the Month: A Welcoming Retreat
As summer begins to shine across the hills of San Diego Country Estates, one home in particular stands out—not just for its curb appeal but for the warmth and personality it reflects inside and out.
We’re excited to feature the beautiful home of Ben and Nicole Gallup, a couple whose creativity, comfort, and love for nature shine through every detail. Ben is from Texas, and Nicole is from Northern California. The couple met in San Diego and have been married for 7 years. They have four kids, three dogs, and four cats.
Built in 2008, the Gallups' SDCE home captures the true spirit of country living. The beautiful 2,607-square-foot home sits on a half-acre lot and features four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Nicole says that the smaller property and larger house are what inspired them to move to SDCE from a larger property in Lakeside three and a half years ago. Her hometown was similar to Ramona, and they had friends from Ojai who moved to Ramona, so they did, too.
One thing that drew them to this home was that it was already upgraded; the only thing they added was solar. Nicole says they came from a project property, and it has been nice to live in a home that doesn't require any updating or fixing-up.
The family makes good use of the amenities in the SDCE. "My whole family golfs… the kids, too," says Nicole. "And the kids play tennis." Nicole loves that she is close to the equestrian centers and golf course and keeps her horses at the Casey Tibbs Western Center.
Nicole enjoys the outdoor aspect of the home. They have a fire pit, BBQ, and patio furniture. She enjoys being able to walk out into the trails from her backyard. The kids are also runners and make use of the trails.
Whether it's their appreciation for the land, their passion for their horses, or the way they've created a home that reflects their outdoor style, Ben and Nicole Gallup are a shining example of what makes the SDCE so special. Congratulations to our June Home of the Month, a true celebration of life on the trails and under the sun.
