Ramona Garden Club Home Tour Returns

Garden lovers and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to spend a beautiful spring day exploring some of Ramona’s most inspiring private gardens during the Ramona Garden Club Tour on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The annual Ramona Garden Club Tour offers visitors a unique opportunity to stroll through a curated selection of local gardens, each showcasing creative landscaping, vibrant seasonal blooms, and innovative gardening techniques suited to the Ramona climate. Whether you're an experienced gardener or simply looking for inspiration, the tour promises something for everyone.

“We have five gorgeous homes for the garden tour this year,” says Ramona Garden Club Vice President and San Diego Country Estates Homeowner, Bonnie Crawford.

According to Robert Holton, President of the Garden Club, each of the five gardens reflects the owner’s creativity, vision and multiple changes over the years to integrate native plants and trees to be more in harmony with the natural surroundings. This year’s tour will also help visitors experience creative ideas for incorporating various landscape materials and designs with native and non-native plants to become more water wise, while maintaining the owner’s vision of a beautiful garden. Over the years, several owners on the tour have developed extensive walking pathways to creative visual changes throughout their gardens.

The Garden Tour runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and tickets can be purchased online at ramonagardenclub.com. Tickets are $30 and can also be purchased at Main Street Coffee (680 Main St., Ramona) and at the Plant & Craft Sale Saturday morning at Ramona Oaks Park.

In addition to the self-guided Garden Tour, the garden club will also host a Spring Plant and Craft sale from 10 am to 2 pm the same day at Ramona Oaks Park, 25341 Pappas Road, in the San Diego Country Estates. This is in addition to the garden tour, and visitors can stop by the Plant & Craft Sale to browse a variety of plants, garden décor, and handmade items. It’s the perfect place to pick up something special for your own garden while supporting local artisans and the gardening community.

To support the club’s theme this year “Supporting Native Bees in Our Community,” the sale will feature native and non-native flowering plants to attract bees and other pollinators. For several months, club members have been propagating and growing a wide variety of plant groupings for the sale. One benefit of homegrown plants always of interest to the public is that plants can be sold at lower prices than retail stores. In addition to plants, there will be a wide variety of homemade craft items available that club members have been working on for several months.

The Garden Tour and Spring Plant and Craft Sale is their largest revenue generator for the year, with proceeds going to our local high school scholarship fund, and grants to local non-profit organizations to support beatification and educational initiatives. For more information, visit ramonagardenclub.com.

Proceeds from the event support the Ramona Garden Club’s ongoing community projects, educational programs, and beautification efforts throughout the area.

Mark your calendar and enjoy a day of natural beauty, creativity, and community spirit at this year’s Ramona Garden Club Tour.
