2026 Graduates reflect on their years growing up in the San Diego Country Estates and look ahead to a bright future.

Eighteen-year-old Peyton Denny, a graduating senior from Ramona High School, leaves behind a legacy of academic achievement, athletic dedication, and community service as she prepares for her next chapter.

During her four years at Ramona High, Denny participated in girls’ varsity volleyball all four years and played soccer during her freshman year. Balancing sports, academics, work, and personal commitments taught her valuable lessons in perseverance and discipline.

“One of the most difficult parts of school was maintaining a healthy, stable, and balanced lifestyle while juggling school, sports, and working,” Denny shared. “A lot of the time my plate was completely full, but I always reminded myself what my priorities were.”

Her hard work earned her several honors throughout her senior year. At Ramona High’s Scholarship Night, Denny received $650 in scholarships recognizing both her academic success and community involvement. She was also recognized during Senior Awards Night for above-average CAASPP test scores, completing a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway, and receiving the Scholastic Achievement Award.

Outside of school, Denny has spent years serving the community through Mountain View Church, where her aunt and uncle, Jason and Heather Winters, are active leaders. Since middle school, she has volunteered at Vacation Bible School programs and children’s summer camps, often dedicating both her spring break and part of her summer to mentoring younger children.

“Through church every Sunday and Thursday, I got through it,” she said, reflecting on the support system that helped guide her through busy and challenging years.

This fall, Denny plans to attend Miramar College, where she will pursue an associate degree in business and fermentation studies. Her long-term dream is to someday own her own brewery. She also hopes to travel extensively, beginning with a trip to Europe this June, and eventually experience “Van Life” adventures with her boyfriend, Will Trent.

Still, Denny says she is keeping an open heart about the future.

“My plans are not my own, and I trust God to guide me where He wants me,” she said.

Looking back, Denny credits Ramona and the San Diego Country Estates community for shaping who she has become.

“Ramona truly has molded me into who I am today,” she said. “The laid-back and country lifestyle of this town has become a part of my personality, and I assume I will carry that with me everywhere I go.”

Denny’s boyfriend, Will Trent is an 18-year-old soon-to-be graduate of Ramona High School who has lived in the San Diego Country Estates community for 12 years. During high school, he played Varsity Volleyball and earned All-League 2nd Team honors. After graduation, he plans to study Biotechnology in college.

Outside of school and sports, Will enjoys spending time at the pool and hanging out with friends. He says one of his favorite things about living in the Estates is “having our own little pizza place and activities.” Growing up in a small town has had a strong impact on his life because of the close-knit community and always being surrounded by familiar faces and supportive people.

As Peyton and Will prepare to graduate and begin new adventures beyond Ramona High School, both carry with them the values and experiences shaped by the San Diego Country Estates community. Whether pursuing higher education, career goals, travel, or new opportunities, the two graduates reflect the hard work, resilience, and close-knit spirit that define Ramona. With bright futures ahead, they leave behind not only accomplishments, but also lasting memories and connections that will continue to guide them in the years to come.
