The SDCE community is invited to enjoy the 4th of July Parade, barbeque, live music and more, this Saturday at Ramona Oaks Park.

The San Diego Country Estates community is preparing to celebrate Independence Day with a full day of family-friendly activities at Ramona Oaks Park on Saturday, July 4, while also recognizing a historic milestone, the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

Residents are invited to gather for the annual Fourth of July Parade and Celebration, featuring patriotic traditions, live entertainment, food, swimming, children's activities and community spirit.

The festivities begin at 9:30 a.m. with the opening of the ticket booth at the green tent, followed by the parade at 10 a.m. along Pappas Road. Community groups, decorated vehicles and local organizations will take part in the parade, showcasing the pride and traditions that make Ramona and the San Diego Country Estates unique.

Following the parade, guests can enjoy an opening presentation at the bandstand, including the introduction of Miss Ramona, a Color Guard ceremony presented by Boy Scout Troop 679, and a performance of the National Anthem by Dave Castberg.

Food will be available from San Vicente Resort and Outlaw BBQ from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while the Ramona Oaks Park pool will be open for swimming from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Families can also enjoy carnival booths, water activities, bounce houses and unlimited play wristbands for children.

Entertainment throughout the afternoon includes a dance performance by RJAD and live music from the Black Canyon Band. Parade winners will also be recognized during the celebration.

This year's event carries added significance as communities across the nation begin commemorating America's 250th birthday. The semi-quincentennial marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and serves as an opportunity to reflect on the nation's history, honor those who have served, and celebrate the freedoms enjoyed today.

For San Diego Country Estates residents, the annual Fourth of July celebration continues to be one of the community's most anticipated traditions, bringing neighbors together to celebrate patriotism, community pride and the enduring American spirit.

As the nation marks 250 years since the birth of American independence, local celebrations like this one help preserve the traditions that have been passed from generation to generation. The annual parade serves as a reminder of the freedoms, sacrifices and community spirit that continue to shape the country today.

The celebration will take place at Ramona Oaks Park, located at 25338 Pappas Road in Ramona.
