Spring into Fun: Exciting Recreation Activities Ahead

Amy Holsapple, Recreation Manager • February 19, 2025

Get ready for an exciting season with Spring Break Camp, summer camp sign-ups, a festive Easter Egg Hunt, and a new shade cover at the Pocket Park—your Recreation Department has been busy planning fun for all!

Spring Break Camp is coming up the week of March 24-28. This action-packed camp is an excellent way for kids to make new friends, explore the outdoors, and enjoy hands-on crafts. The camp hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for just $55 per day. Do you need a little extra time? We’ve got you covered with extended care options from 7:00-8:30 am and 4:30-6:00 pm for only $5 per extended care session.

Looking ahead, summer camp sign-ups open on April 14! Our staff has been hard at work creating fresh new themes, exciting field trips, and fun Friday activities. Whether your child loves hiking, crafting, or just good old-fashioned summer fun, we have something for everyone. Stay tuned for more details soon!

And don’t miss our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19! Bring the family and join the fun as we hide over 6,000 eggs filled with surprises. The Easter Bunny will be making a special appearance for photos, and we’ll have craft stations for kids to enjoy. In an effort to keep things fair, the egg hunts will be divided into three age groups:

Ages 4 & under: 9:30 am

Ages 5-7: 10:00 am

Ages 8 & over: 10:15 am

In other exciting news, we’ve completed the new shade cover at the Pocket Park on Gunn Stage! Now, families can enjoy the playground even during the warmer months. Stop by, take a break, and let the kids play in the shade!

We’re looking forward to a fantastic season of community fun. If you have any questions or want to learn more, reach out to the Recreation Department. See you at the next event!
