Summer Camps Bring Fun, Fitness, and Creativity to San Diego Country Estates
From sports and science to swimming and crafts, local summer camps in Ramona and San Diego Country Estates are giving kids a fun-filled season of adventure, friendship, and active learning.
Families in San Diego Country Estates and Ramona have plenty of exciting opportunities to keep children active and engaged this summer through local camps offering everything from sports and science to crafts and swimming.
Imagicamp returns to the Recreation Center and is once again bringing summer fun to the San Diego Country Estates Recreation Center, located at 25386 Pappas Road.
The camp offers a variety of activities designed to keep children active, creative, and social throughout the summer. Campers can enjoy fun crafts, science activities, nature walks, swimming, group activities, themed weeks, and special “Fun Fridays.”
The camp provides a welcoming environment where children can make friends, stay active, and explore new interests while enjoying summer in the community. Families interested in signing up for Imagicamp are encouraged to contact the Recreation Center at 760-789-4146 or email recprograms@sdcea.net.
Another popular option for local families is Amazing Athletes, a year-round multi-sport enrichment program focused on helping children build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits through sports and movement.
The summer session will run from June 15 through August 10, 2026, with classes held at Ramona Oaks Park on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at various times.
Amazing Athletes introduces children to the fundamentals of 10 different sports while also teaching nutrition, muscle identification, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits through age-appropriate instruction. Kids participating in the summer program can expect a variety of sports, active games, relay races, obstacle courses, teamwork activities, and themed camp days.
“We focus on keeping children active, social, and engaged while helping them build athletic skills and confidence in a fun, non-competitive environment,” organizers shared.
Registration is currently open, and families are encouraged to sign up early as several sessions tend to fill quickly. Families can register online through Amazing Athletes Northland CA under the camps tab. Amazing Athletes is also partnering with the Ramona Unified School District through its THRIVE program to provide weekly classes for TK through third-grade students at all six elementary schools in the district.
“This partnership allows us to bring structured sports enrichment, physical activity, and confidence-building programs directly to students in an accessible after-school setting,” says Taylor Dick, Owner and Head Coach of Amazing Athletes North Inland & East County.
“We’ve been fortunate to build long-term relationships with local families, schools, and organizations,” says Taylor. “Many families return season after season, and we’ve continued to grow through word-of-mouth referrals and community support.” Although Taylor no longer lives in San Diego Country Estates, she grew up in the Estates before moving into town in 2016, making the community connection especially meaningful.
The goal for this summer season is simple: creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience where children stay active, make friends, and build confidence while strengthening community partnerships throughout Ramona.
