A Friendly Reminder from the Community Relations Committee

The Community Relations Committee (CRC) reviews homeowners’ non-conformance with community guidelines, focusing on issues like trash can concealment, and offers opportunities for residents to address special circumstances during monthly meetings.

The Community Relations Committee (CRC) is a panel of volunteer homeowners appointed by the board that meets monthly to review notices of non-conformance with the CC&Rs and the SDCEA Handbook. A commonality is trash can concealment. 

 

As a friendly reminder, trash cans are to be obscured from view from the street or neighboring properties, with some exceptions. Below is an excerpt from the SDCEA Handbook, section 1.3, Debris and Outside Storage:

 

Trash cans and other debris shall not be visible from any portion of the street or neighboring lots except on trash pick-up day. Curb staging may occur on the day prior after 4 pm and removed following pick-up by the end of the day.

 

If you receive a courtesy reminder letter from the Community Relations team and you believe there are special circumstances, we are here to help. A portion of each meeting is allocated to homeowner input; please come tell us about your situation, and we will work with you to try to find a solution.

 

CRC meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of the month in the Admin Board Room, next to the Golf Pro Shop.
