Building Brighter Futures: Launching ADMA Youth Alliance
The ADMA Youth Alliance is turning vision into action with the launch of a brand-new nonprofit dedicated to helping children in the community. Created by SDCEA homeowner Anthony Abbott, owner of ADMA Elite Training, it aims to provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities that empower kids to thrive.
With fresh opportunities and a commitment to making a difference, ADMA Youth Alliance is laying the foundation to provide scholarships for youth programs, supply sports equipment to kids in need, and create opportunities through mentorship, fitness, and education. In addition, he wants to offer scholarships to help kids go to college. He is checking off all of those boxes to get approved.
Abbott, now a father of a beautiful young girl, grew up in Ramona and was raised by a single mother. They often couldn’t afford cleats, sports equipment, or the chance to join teams that required extra costs. He remembers what it felt like to want to play and be part of something bigger, but not have the means to do so. His mother did her best and would reach out to local businesses for sponsorships. This experience was his inspiration to launch the ADMA Youth Alliance. He aims to serve as a platform for pursuing sports and fitness, demonstrating his commitment to the community.
“We were just approved for a 501(c)(3) and taking the necessary steps to move forward,” says Abbott. In the past, Abbott has held events to raise money. He raised $20,000 for a child with Leukemia and their family. Now, operating as a 501(c)(3), he can do even more to help the kids in our community. He adds that donating to this new nonprofit can be used as a tax write-off, which may encourage more people to give.
The ADMA Youth Alliance will host various events, including golf and mud runs, to support the kids in Ramona. He hopes to hold their first golf tournament at San Vicente Golf Course in about a year once they get all of their ducks in a row. “We want to do it right and make it an annual event,” says Abbott.
He is in the process of putting together free programs for kids to work out at ADMA Elite Training. He also hopes to create a skate park in Ramona to give kids a positive place to grow and flourish. “I want to see sports thrive in Ramona,” says Abbott. He also wants the kids to get involved with community service by working at the soccer fields and cleaning up the streets of Ramona.
Abbott wants to help kids get the necessary tools for sports, whether it be cleats, bats, shoes, etc. He adds that no child in our community should ever have to sit on the sidelines because of financial barriers. At ADMA Youth Alliance, they believe that every kid deserves the chance to grow strong, confident, and supported both on the field and in life.
This nonprofit is more than an idea; it’s personal for Abbott. It’s his way of giving back to the community that raised him and making sure that the kids today have the opportunities he once wished for.
He is looking forward to partnering with local families, schools, and businesses to help Ramona kids thrive. Though dates are not yet set for these programs, he wants to get the word out. “I want to make sure kids have a brighter future,” says Abbott. “And I don’t want anything to hold them back."
