Meghan Vignes: October Employee of the Month

Dedication, organization, and a friendly spirit—that's what shines through when you meet Meghan Vignes, SDCEA's Employee of the Month for October. As an executive assistant in the Administration Department, she ensures that daily operations run smoothly, supporting leadership while also serving as a go-to resource for staff and residents alike.

Meghan Vignes joined the SDCEA team on April 7, 2025. According to Carl Weise, General Manager for the SDCEA, her job is a critical part of the HOA operation, ensuring that annual calendars, timelines, and deadlines are maintained. Her job includes working with contract administration, logging, posting, saving, and archiving of association documents. She also works with customer/homeowner services.

Weise says they were lucky to have three strong finalists for the position. Vignes stood out in technical skills, but even more importantly, in her desire to dive into the complex world of association administration. He adds that she has excelled at learning on the job and bringing order to chaos.

Her second lead, Crystal Carle, Accounting Assistant for the Human Resources Team at SDCEA, says Vignes managed all aspects of the Employee Safety and Wellness Fair, coordinating closely with managers and committee members to ensure a smooth and successful event from start to finish. She approaches everything she does with exceptional care and attention to detail, always adding a positive, fun, and creative touch. Her great sense of humor brightens the room and brings a smile to everyone's faces.

Vignes played an integral role in this year's budget process. Her support with scheduling, coordination, and detailed minute-taking throughout this complex and meticulous process is just one example of how she consistently excels in her role.

In her free time, she volunteers to support the Fort Rosecrans Memorial Day event—one of San Diego's largest and most respected memorials dedicated to our fallen service members. Her unwavering devotion to honoring our heroes is truly heartwarming and inspiring. She also enjoys quilting and crafting.

Vignes loves staying engaged and active in the SDCE community, and she generously volunteers her time to support association events such as the Concerts in the Park series and the voting table at the Car Show. One of the things she likes most about working for the SDCEA is being part of a mutually supportive team.
