Start Your Spring Projects with Support from Community Relations

Josh Jones, Assistant General Manager • April 23, 2025

As home improvement season begins, the Community Relations Department is ready to assist homeowners with project applications, permits, and guidance.

Spring is in the air, and with it comes a new season of home improvement projects. The Community Relations Department (CRD) is here to answer your questions and guide you through the project application process.

Before any changes can be made to a property, approval is required from the Environmental Control Committee (ECC). CRD is available to assist with both project applications and short-term permits, and we enjoy chatting with homeowners to discuss project ideas and provide support.

Every project starts with an idea—bring yours to CRD! Call, email, or stop by, and we’ll help you navigate the process from start to finish. Unsure where to begin? Wondering if your project requires an application or a county permit? Not sure what colors or materials are allowed? Your CRD liaison can help you get the answers you need and avoid common pitfalls.

Give us a call at 760-789-8747 or send an email to CRDdept@sdcea.net.

You can also find helpful resources on the association website at www.sdcea.net/community-guidelines
